RestoreNet - Public, interactive and collaborative film restoration
RestoreNet is an extension of our well known DIAMANT digital film restoration software.
Content owners can share their restoration projects with a wider community to collect some advise and support for their digital restoration projects.
- The RestoreNet server offers inside the project the movie sequences to be restored in a preview-resolution for download to the community.
- Based on the preview-resolution the community player can use the free software "RestoreNet Client" to make comments and proposals for digital restoration.
- After completion, the comments are uploaded to the RestoreNet server, where the central operator uses the comments in a Quality-control session and applies it on the high-res film data.
RestoreNet has been made possible by support of the Austrian research funds of FFG.
