IBC 2008: DIAMANT DustBuster with AutoFix

With DIAMANT DustBuster HS-ART offers an efficient and easy to use solution for quick fixing of any kind of single image defects based on the Moving Image Retoucher Tool M.I.R. Dust spots, scratches and hairs can be immediately fixed without interrupting the workflow with our click & fix technology.

The DIAMANT DustBuster has an AutoFix mode where the operator just needs to draw a region around the artifact and the fix will be instantly applied to that area. The tool works very fast and it does not need any preprocessing of the sequence before. A metadata mode allows reapplying the fixes any time in case the input should have changed for example by color correction. It is even possible to do the dust busting on a proxy and applying it on the original content later on.

A manual retouching option by cloning content from other parts of the movie as known from our application M.I.R. is also included in the DIAMANT DustBuster.

The software has been developed to work in a professional environment, especially DI image clean up and does support a large amount of image file formats like QuickTime, DPX, CIN, TIFF, TGA and JPG.
